Technicolor Aspirations

You are restless once again, as one day changes into another. I watch, as you roll about the bed, take up the most space, leave me with an inch or two along the side. In the darkness of the night, I watch as your mind fills with images of the past and unknown future. You wake, but for a moment from vaporish, shady dreams with a cast of suspects, who will make appearances in a poem. On a bad night, you will relive the past, make amends, on a good night, visons of splendor.  Your dreams are technicolor aspirations.  Your courage never dissipates. I am awake most of the night, as you rock and roll about the bed in the flora and fauna of your mind. I thought I should let you know that I appreciate the passion of your dreams, of you, of your life.

You

The beauty that is you

draws me near each day.

The smile

that took away darkness.

Eyes brighter than the Milky Way

on a clear night.

The touch that warms my skin

that once was so cold.

Beautiful words

that resonate in me each day.

I wake, look for you

feel your presence.

You,

who can be silly

as a teenage girl.

You,

who write words

for the ages.

You,

whose inner beauty

has exploded.

You,

whose blossom is as gorgeous

as a large sunflower.

You,

who hold my heart in

your hands.

You.

Glimmer

Silence broken by thunder’s roar.

Rain falls in a torrent

stops abruptly

humidity thickens.

                                  And you

gaze at vivid colors that

saturate sky, dance

under two rainbows

with no beginning or end.

                                  As

colors grow intense,

you glimmer, illuminate

the street, as

beautifully as the rainbow

lights up the sky.
