Poetry of Issue 9: No Creatures Allowed

No Creatures Allowed

Swallow the pill, take the bait, garnered to satisfaction,

This barricade converses with the time that’s set,

The imitation of Christ realistic to a fault

Standing alone, the quality never fails to renege

Loved beyond measure a pitfall deciding

The brunette ambition cascades all gone before

Sinking your poison rots your noble stance

The white chain of progress cascading on a bitter pill

Fingering the dustbin of related sin,

The bearded invitation costing much to consider.

Doing something about hardcore, stay where you are,

Cracking the hurt code through common decency

Appropriating inspiration furthered before time

Changing weather an excuse to depart

Common sense guilt feeling its own way home.

Appropriating a home life an occupation unscathed

Standing apart for protection, unnerved

Chanting psychosis like today never existed

Holding nefarious hands like another joke

Knowing more than let on, a check on sobriety.

Saying nothing till the tide abates, gone cold

Kissing an oblivious gesture lost on some,

Burning discrimination on likewise traits

Discounted affairs thundered like damnation

Meaner feats calculated, the consummate con job.
