I don’t know what I’m looking for but I’ll know when I see it
ruled the supreme court a documentary maybe a secret
society that once buried spanish doubloons all over
the americas in an intricate enigmatic
series of interconnecting underground tunnels if not
an infomercial master chef raising a racket about
his amazing stainless steel wok big 10 log-rolling tourney
replay black & white quiz shows misnomered sitcoms their glassy-
eyed stars dead or else zombies an airplane crash in washington
makes the news as do war famine pestilence propaganda
for mass consumption on channel 19 a raw depiction
of the daily lives of an average working class family
made with the same stringent eye for detail that you might expect
from the flintstones now burns into my brain for eternity
flipping as if I’m watching history rewind until I’ve
gone full circle back to the beginning back to channel 2
where experts agree it seems quite likely creatures from a vast
unknown underworld city were somehow bioengineered
for the sole purpose of guarding the gold a crazy theory
you have to admit but one that explains the swastika
used to mark the spot on the hand-drawn map saying to dig here
