--in the litter beside road--

Piles of garbage

litter roadside

gather under guardrail.

Small gusts of wind

flutter some pieces of trash

insects and rodents flee

into leaf clutter.

Headlights catch eyes

strange glows,

wonder what kind of soul

dwells there?

--in those long twilights--

It’s

small

worlds spin

time lines fall

figures walk through fog

fuzzy branes conversations bleed.

--just a question of when--

How

night

seems to

glow with stars

humanity gave

to those who come after we’re gone.
