Some say
Some people say that I’ve never grown up.
When a child, some said that I was an old man.
I guess more or less, that both are correct.
Where I am now is not due to a plan.
Where I am now is a question for me
that I avoid as much as I can.
Tomorrow is only a heartbeat away.
Where I’ll be then is anyone’s guess.

Get over it
Get over it
on the far side of your life that
broke into many pieces
that you must MUST
must must
somehow
put back together.

Saturday morning
Saturday morning
smells like the rotting remains
of Friday night’s
chase for glory.
Saturday morning
runs from the Sunday afternoon
regrets of yesterday
and
fears of tomorrow.

Rises to the top
Time rises to the top of the cream twice;
bleating blues on sufficient yellows care for it
under geese chasing my sister-in-law across the meadow.
Downstairs where clutter sings songs of patriotism,
beyond the stakes, the game gets too high for gamblers.
She turns to face them and time kisses her slovenly.
In the aura of especial, signatures are moot and muted.

Infinity crashes
Infinity
crashes
into walls of time
that
exist only
in some imagination
or other
in past, present or future
tenses.
